About the Church

Shortly after initiating services in Broadway, a building committee was formed, and its members began exploring properties in the Sanford area in search of a permanent location for the ministry. After evaluating the available properties, the congregation chose the former Chef Paul Restaurant building located on East Main Street. Together with professional contractors and electricians, church members worked diligently to transform the old restaurant into a beautiful sanctuary and fellowship area. In August 2012, the congregation and pastor reaped the rewards of their hard work, and God’s Promise ministry began operating at its current location, 610 East Main Street, Sanford, NC.

Since its inception, God’s Promise Ministry has been dedicated to its mission of community outreach. In recent years, we have provided food to families in need, held church services at the beach, and launched a highly successful After-School Program. This past Thanksgiving Day, we were blessed to serve over 20 families at the church. In May, we positively impacted more than 200 individuals through a free gas giveaway. In August, we hosted a Back to School Church in the Park service, where we distributed over 120 backpacks and school supplies to the youth in our community. Our Born With A Purpose 21st Century Community Learning Center has had the privilege of serving over 500 children in Lee County, and we will be opening our doors on September 12, 2016, with an enrollment of 140 youth. We are truly striving to be a “Matthew 25 Alive” church, dedicated to meeting the needs of our community. This year, we continue to bless the community with our back-to-school drive on August 13, 2017. We also hosted the Apollo Talent Search auditions on August 12, 2017. God continues to add souls to the Kingdom.

We believe that God is saving and delivering men, women, boys, and girls. An individual may enter in one way, but they will not leave the same.

We thank God for all the blessings He has bestowed upon God’s Promise Ministry, and we praise Him for the blessings yet to come. To God be the glory!

Our number one goal is and will always be the salvation of the lost. While we specialize in attracting men, the unsaved and the un-churched, and people who want a fresh start from the mistakes they have made in their past, we want to expand to reach people from other races, cultures and socio-economic classes.

We will seek the holistic improvement of each member of our ministry – spiritually, emotionally, physically and financially. We will preach and teach Biblical mandates to achieve success in all these areas. We will also make available the necessary classes, group resource and qualified individuals to help each willing member achieve holistic improvement.

We will empower youth in our church and community with the Word of God, programs, resources, training and state-of-the-art facilities to meet their needs.

We will always specialize in outreach programs for hurting people (i.e. homeless, poor, those with substance abuse issues, the incarcerated, those who have suffered physical, verbal or emotional abuse, etc.). We will impact the County of Lee and the areas with our radio ministry, outreach campaigns, crusades, business development, city-wide event, prayer, intercession, partnership with local schools, partnership with community, city and state officials, etc.

We will consistently stay before God in prayer. It is not just by saying it but we will put it in practice in every area of our lives. Prayer is our way of staying in communication with God. It is through prayer that we are able to stay in fellowship with Him.

We will continue to be the model for excellent ministry in our city. We will always strive to be excellent in our customer service – how we treat our members, visitors and guests from the moment they pull into our parking lot to when they leave, and how we respond to them when they call, email or write with request or concerns. We will be the standard for excellence in how we do people.

We will stay humble and maintain the spirit of love and realness that
we’ve had since our inception at all times and give all credit and glory to God for our success.
